The Kick Off Meeting of «Life Resilience: Prevention of X. fastidiosa in intensive olive & almond plantations applying productive green farming practices» took place on July 17 and 18, a project that seeks to seek sustainable and productive practices for the prevention of Xylella Fastidious in the groves of olive and almond tree in intensive.
This project aims to develop olive varieties that are as tolerant as possible to the Xylella Fastidiosa and other pathogens, minimizing the losses that up to now entails having an infected plantation, as well as implementing sustainable practices that contribute to prevent the spread of the disease. bacteria and increase resistance to outbreaks of pests and pathogens.
For its part, Ideagro, an independent applied research company with extensive experience in evaluating / improving soil health and in the development of biostimulants and resistance inducers, has joined this project to participate as a technological partner assuming the technical direction of the same.
