The Gen4Olive project wants to know the needs of end users in the olive sector and, for this, they held a meeting on December 10 in which the project and its objectives were presented.
A round table was held to address the needs of the olive sector of end users, through a questionnaire to know specifically about them. An oil tasting of 13 different varieties was also carried out that have been followed online.
Finally, there was a presentation of the European projects with which they collaborate, such as Life Resilence and Innolivar.
With the evaluations obtained, those responsible for the project will be able to proceed to study them and thus respond to existing problems faced by the actors involved in the sector.
The Gen4Olive project brings together a broad multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary consortium, with 16 partners from different countries, including the International Germplasm Banks of the 5 main countries in the oil field, who will provide the material that will be studied and exploited. In addition, the International Olive Council (IOC) supports the Gen4Olive project, forming part of its Advisory Council.
